Honourable Member representating the good people of Yewa South/Ipokia Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives and Chairman, House Committee on Aviation and Aerospace Technology Right Honourable Abiodun Isiaq Akinlade on Saturday fetes his constituents with multi million naira empowerment items and cash gift.
Speaking at the epoch event which took place at The Gem International School, Owode Yewa today 19th October, 2024, Hon. Abiodun Isiaq Akinlade promised to bring more life changing gains of democracy to the people of Yewa South/Ipokia Federal Constituency. He applauded the constituents for the confidence reposed in him by giving him the mandate to represent them again at the National Assembly.
The experienced legislator also noted that in the last one year he has sponsored numerous motions and bills, including the bill to establish Federal Medical Centre, Ilashe, bill to establish National Institute of Agricultural Research and Entrepreneurship, Owode Yewa, bill to establish Federal University of Technology, Ipokia and ongoing construction of Ultra-modern palaces for Yewa Traditional Rulers. He also affirmed that eight employable graduates shall receive their appointment letters.
During the programme which benefited over 2000 individuals, Akinlade distributed valuable resources including refrigerators, boxer motorbikes, grinding machines, sewing machines, bicycles, fertilizers,vulcanizing machines, tree cutting (Chainsaw) machines and power Glgenerating sets in their large numbers.
The empowerment programme also captured the 17 CDCs in Yewa-South Local Government with a cash gift of One Million, Seven Hundred Thousand Naira and five 5 Muslims representing the Muslim Community, Ilaro with one hundred thousand naira each. This initiative demonstrates Hon. Akinlade's commitment to community development and his dedication to empowering his constituents.
The event was graced by royal fathers, political gladiators, religious leaders, community leaders, All Progressives Congress party leaders and faithful, youth groups amongst others. The beneficiaries who were full of gratitude appreciate the people's honourable for extending this gesture to them. They shower prayers on Abiodun Akinlade for providing succour to them at this trying time.
